Parker's first Christmas at home!

On Christmas Eve, Parker and Mommy baked chocolate chip cookies to put out for Santa.
Here Parker and Daddy are with the snacks for Santa and the reindeer.
 And Mommy and Parker
Daddy got "Twas the Night Before Christmas" to read to Parker on Christmas Eve before bed. It's sure to continue as a yearly tradition!
Santa was here! He ate the cookies, and the reindeer ate the carrots!
Parker with his stocking and gifts.

Mommy and Daddy had to help open gifts.
Next Christmas, I'm sure we won't be the ones opening all of the gifts!
All worn out after a busy Christmas morning!
Having a child of our own has really changed our perspective. Christmas through the eyes of a child is truly a joyous time, and one we will look forward to every year!

Parker's First Christmas (Part 1)

On December 22nd, Parker, Mommy, and Daddy drove up North to visit Mommy's family for Christmas. Parker took a long 2+ hour nap on the drive, and was in a wonderful mood when we arrived.
He enjoyed sitting on Meme's lap and watching her lighted angel decoration.
Poppa Beezley got Parker a funny animated toy. It had something special in the lasso!
Aunt Hope, Ella, and Parker
Uncle Mike opening a gift from Parker, Mommy, and Daddy.
Fun with Daddy before bed!
Parker missed out on most of the gift opening due to bedtime. Mommy and Daddy did a good job opening and admiring his gifts, though.

Playing with Meme the next morning.

Visiting with Papaw.
Parker got to visit his great Aunts before we headed back home to Zionsville. Great Aunt Betty was visiting from Kentucky, so we went to Great Aunt Cheryl's house to visit with the two of them.
Great Aunt Betty is funny!
Parker with his brave Great Aunt Cheryl. Aunt Cheryl is battling breast cancer, and was undergoing chemotherapy during the holiday season. Aunt Betty is a breast cancer survivor, as well!
Parker did well with his first Christmas celebration! It was nice to spend time with family celebrating Christ's birth with our new son!

December 25, 2011 Three months old!

Parker is 3 months old!
He weighs 15 lbs, 14 oz.
He wears a size 3 diaper, and size 3-6 and 6-9 month clothes.
He loves to laugh and play in his gym. He's very good at grabbing his toys!

The picture above is at 3 months.
Below, just after he turned 2 months old.

It has been so much fun watching Parker's personality blossom this month. He sleeps with a "touchdown" sign many times.

Ready to go visit the girls at breastfeeding support group!

Kitty is learning that Parker can pet her... kind of...

Working out in his gym is fairly exhausting!

Really starting to fill out the bathtub!

Parker still loves to cuddle with Daddy (and Kitty!)

Relaxing on Mommy and Daddy's bed.

Sitting in the bumbo!

With Mommy and Daddy in front of the Christmas tree. He helped decorate!

Hanging out with Dad.

We are loving these precious smiles!

Getting to be such a big boy!

His shirt (a gift from the endoscopy nurses at IU Health North) reads, "Party in my crib at 3am!" A very fitting statement for our night owl!

Showing off his "milk belly!"

Daddy's snuggly boy.

All played out!

November 25, 2011 Two Months Old!

Parker is 2 months old!
He weighs 14 lbs, 1 oz. and is 23.5" long.
He wears a size 2 diaper, and size 3-6 month clothes.
He can coo and smile, and laughed for the first time!
It was a busy month for Parker. His very first Halloween was spent sneezing and sniffling, with his first cold.
He didn't go trick-or-treating, but he did wear his pea pod costume from Aunt Hope for a quick picture. Poor sick baby... He visited the doctor to calm Mommy's nerves. There was nothing they could do, but being a first time mom, they were very reassuring!
He had hoped the Colts would have a better season for his first year as a Colts fan... looks like it's gonna be a rough one!
Kitty is the best big sister. She's very attentive, and wants to be near Parker at all times.
Meme and Papaw came to visit.
They were kind to take a picture of Mommy and Parker. Mommy is usually the one behind the camera!
Cousin Ella, Aunt Hope, and Uncle Mike came to visit, and we had a family picture taken. It was a traumatic event for all involved... but that's a story for another time, ha ha!
He's already so much bigger, he doesn't need the sling in the bathtub anymore!
Sporting a very handsome double chin these days!
Mommy and Parker went on our first trip alone on the 22nd. We visited Meme and Papaw and the rest of the family for Thanksgiving. Daddy had to stay home and work, and we missed him terribly. Especially on the looooooong drive home with a screaming, unhappy Parker!
We were so happy to get to see Parker's Great Great Aunt Zenol before we left. We were like two ships passing in the night, but it was so nice to visit with her before we left.
We spent Thanksgiving with Bryan's family at Uncle Mark and Aunt Gail's house. We also celebrated an early Christmas, since Great Grandma and Great Grandpa Holcomb were leaving to go to Florida for the winter. Parker slept for several hours in Great Grandma's arms. She said, "Babies like my curves." She was right!
All worn out after his first Thanksgiving!
